Transparency
Responsible operations founded on public value and trust.
Sustainable Management
KMTPA practices sustainable management grounded in public value and industry development. Through transparent governance, reliable accountability and the participation of diverse stakeholders, we contribute to a resilient and sustainable medical tourism ecosystem in Korea.
Management philosophy and mission
KMTPA is guided by the belief that medical tourism should create social value through public purpose and trust, beyond economic activity alone. Through a transparent industry environment and responsible operations, we aim to build a globally competitive medical tourism ecosystem and contribute to public health and national competitiveness.
Governance and operating strategy
KMTPA seeks fair and trusted operations through governance based on responsibility and transparency. As an incorporated association, we systematically establish and advance major policies and business directions through a general assembly and board-centered decision-making structure under applicable law. Our management systems support the sound development and global competitiveness of medical tourism and related industries. We expand domestic and international cooperation networks on a foundation of trust, balancing public purpose and industry development.
Stakeholder participation and social impact
We reflect practical perspectives in policies and programs through communication and cooperation with healthcare providers, medical tourists, government and local communities. We seek qualitative industry growth while serving public purposes, including patient-centered services and support for underserved groups. By creating economic benefits and social value together, we contribute to a sustainable medical tourism ecosystem.
Financial Reporting
As a nonprofit corporation serving a public purpose, KMTPA places transparency and responsibility at the center of financial management. Resources are managed systematically under relevant laws and internal rules, with disclosure covering budgeting, execution and settlement. This is intended to strengthen stakeholder trust and sustain sound, public-interest operations.

Transparency & Accountability
As a nonprofit corporation serving a public purpose, KMTPA treats transparency and accountability as core principles across its operations. We disclose information about finances, programs and decision-making, and take responsibility for the results. Through stakeholder trust, we seek to contribute to a sustainable medical tourism industry.
Global trends and standards
As nonprofit organizations’ roles and influence expand, international expectations of transparency and accountability continue to grow. Frameworks such as the United Nations Global Compact and the Global Reporting Initiative serve as important guides to disclosure and stakeholder trust. The INGO Accountability Charter, adopted jointly by international NGOs in 2006, is regarded as an early shared global standard for nonprofit accountability and transparency that informed subsequent international frameworks.
Korean nonprofits and international development
Growing public expectations of nonprofit responsibility have made financial disclosure and transparent management of program results important standards in Korea. International development and health organizations are increasingly adopting operations and reporting aligned with global standards, emphasizing stakeholder participation and social impact management. Within this trend, the association seeks transparent management that strengthens trust and sustainability in Korean medical tourism.
Ethics, accountability and public-interest reporting
KMTPA operates channels for suggestions and reports to support transparent, responsible operations. Suggestions for improvement or reports of inappropriate conduct will be reviewed and addressed in accordance with relevant procedures.
